Apodemus tread the stoner & rock side of the path more than the psychedelic side. And they do a great job of it too. Long, heavy rock jams with a desert feel not unlike the Desert Sessions comps from the late 90s. There are some spacey segues on Phase 3 and Supernova, and the length of several tracks might appeal to the psych mind as well, but the overall takeaway is big rock energy. Fire it up and play it loud.
Standout: the combination of the two final tracks – ‘King Camel…’ leading into ‘…and Eternal Caravan’
