“In Sept 2023, the band gathered once again in Portugal and laid down 13hrs of magical music over a week. There was a lot of experimenting and many ideas flowed. These two pieces of music were very special and meditative in someways. Umma reminded me of 1970 Pink Floyd in many ways, thus the title. Birim Magic, starts with Tito and Hasse playing the African instrument, Birim-bau and then heads off into its own universe over the course of over 40mins. This is a very spacey musical adventure and totally unique in the bands catalog.”

For me, it feels noodley, overly ambient and only really gets going in the final 17 minutes of the combined 76 minute recording. Not as jammy as older OSC for me.
